Protecting Asset of Libbey-Owens- Ford (LOF)

Permit by Minister of Finance (Dividend for LOF)

During the war, all US assets in Japan were frozen. While many Japanese companies disposed of the assets of hostile countries at the start of the war, Nippon Sheet Glass shares and dividends held by LOF remained untouched at the Bank of Japan. LOF was impressed with this after the war, increasing mutual trust between the two companies.
