From 1995, the cooperation with Pilkington plc became closer and sales and other external activities were running under the logo of the parent company Pilkington. In 2000, Flachglas AG changed its name to Pilkington Deutschland AG, with a registered office in Gelsenkirchen. The automotive company had already been renamed from Flachglas Automotive GmbH to Pilkington Automotive Deutschland GmbH in 1999.
