This year saw the start of operations by Providro in Caçapava, São Paulo - a new company, which was a landmark in the history of flat glass in Brazil. With its initial installed capacity of 140 ton/day, and a single furnace, it considerably increased the range of raw glass. Also by using the Libbey-Owens process, the Caçapava factory provided better raw glass quality to the Company and the market in general.
