Creating a global organizational structure

Before acquiring Pilkington, the Company had operated under a company system. After the acquisition, from 2007 to 2008, the Company carried out Group-wide organizational reforms to better manage its global operations. The new structure, consisting of three divisions -- architectural glass, automotive glass, and technical glass (information and electronics glass and glass fibers) -- enabled greater synergies.
In 2015, the three divisions were reorganized into four divisions, all of which are managed globally: the architectural glass division, the auto OE division (automotive glass for new cars), the auto AGR division (automotive glass for repairs), and the high-performance glass division (information and electronics glass and glass fibers).
