Listing of NSG shares

Rapid inflation overtook Japan after the war, pushing up the cost of equipment and operation for many companies. NSG was in need of funds for rebuilding its plants, and by March 1950, the Company’s debt was more than 20 times its capital. In response, the Company increased the capital to 75 million yen in June that year and conducted two additional capital injections. To open new avenues of financing, the Company listed its shares in the stock exchanges in Tokyo and Osaka in June 1950. By 1952, NSG shares were traded in all of the stock exchanges in Japan.
