The two German glass producers, DELOG AG and DETAG AG, merged on May 26, 1970 to establish FLACHGLAS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT DELOG-DETAG. Their main aim was to build a float line in Germany.
From 1978 on, the company was officially called FLACHGLAS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT.
